Explore your creative side while enjoying a week on the beautiful Isle of Palms. Enjoy making baskets as well as other crafting adventures.

Coastal Crafting is a four-day, three-night retreat hosted by SCLRC Coordinator of Older Adult Ministries Pegi Roberts.  Bring a friend to share your room and cut your cost almost in half!  Crafts are appropriate for all ages and a great opportunity to connect with your friends or family.  

In addition to making your own craft creations, participants will utilize local natural resources as they undertake various projects with hand crafted souvenirs to commemorate your retreat. This event is ideal for those interested in learning a new technique or simply looking for connection and enjoyment in a beautiful Spiritual Space!

Select meals and project materials will be provided. Enrollment is limited. 

Wednesday (May 1)
4:00pm – Welcome to Coastal Retreat
6:00pm – Supper
7:00pm – Introductions, Ice Breakers
8:00pm –  Welcome Social

Thursday (May 2)
7:00am – Coffee for Early Birds (DAILY)
8:30am – Breakfast
9:30am – Beach Walk to collect shells
12:30pm – Lunch at Coastal Retreat
1:30pm – Free-form Basket Making
4:30pm – Break/Free Time
6:30pm – Supper at Coastal Retreat
7:30pm – Crochet Cross Bookmarks
9:30pm – Devotion & Happy Hour (BYOB)

Friday (May 3)
9:00am – Breakfast
9:45am –  Folded Start Hot Pad Craft
12:00pm –  Load SCLRC Van to afternoon outing
6:30pm – Dinner in Charleston (on own)
8:00pm – Seashell Inspired Canvases
9:00pm – Devotions and Happy Hour (BYOB) at Coastal Retreat

Saturday (May 4)
9:00am – Breakfast
9:30am – Closing Session / Evaluation
11:00am – Check Out
