Come to Camp Kinard learn the story of how Martin Luther used beer to help unify the church! Conversation will be led by SCLRC Coordinator of Older Adult Ministries Pegi Roberts and guest presenter Rev. Stephen Mims and Rev. Rebecca Boatwright (Pisgah Lutheran Church – Lexington, SC). 23rd Annual SCLRC Golf Classic raises over $21,000 for retreat ministry
The 23rd Annual SCLRC Golf Classic was an incredible showing of friends and supporters out on the golf course! Thank you once again to the 20 teams, 50+ sponsors, and dozens of volunteers who helped put on this year’s tournament at the Ponderosa Country Club (Leesville, SC).
The SCLRC Staff and Board of Trustees are thrilled to share that over $21,000 was raised at this year’s event. We appreciate everyone’s generous support of these holy spaces at Camp Kinard & Coastal Retreat! Event Photos →
57th Annual Lutheran Scout Retreat to be held January 16-18, 2026 at Camp Kinard

This is an opportunity to enjoy a winter campout and be part of a weekend of Christian fellowship and fun with other Lutheran Scouts from North and South Carolina.
The Retreat last year was enjoyed by approximately 160 scouts and adults. The Retreat begins on Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday morning with a worship service. Saturday events last year included “The Wheel”, “String Burn”, “Creek Crossing”, and “Tri-Pod Relay” among others. Registration is $10.00 per person.
