Registration officially open for SCLRC Golf Classic
Join the SCLRC staff on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the beautiful Ponderosa Country Club (Leesville, SC) for this “Captain’s Choice” fundraiser tournament.
Awards will be presented to winning teams in each flight, in addition to the longest drive and closest to the pin. Registration includes two mulligans, SCLRC prize pack, and a BBQ dinner in the clubhouse following play. A number of great raffle prizes will also be available for individuals to take home.
SCLRC’s ministry of hospitality provides holy spaces for groups to strengthen and renew faith, have times of fellowship, and build lasting memories. All proceeds from the tournament will be used to help fund the daily operational costs of each retreat center while benefiting countless individuals all year long. Register Here →
Ordination of Pegi M. Roberts
By the grace of Almighty God, your prayers and presence are requested at a celebration of the Rite of Ordination for Pegi M. Roberts into the Ministry of Word and Service.
The ordination will occur on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church.
The Reverend Virginia Aebischer, Bishop of the South Carolina Synod, will be presiding at this ordination, and The Reverend Jackie Utley of Ascension Lutheran Church in Columbia, South Carolina, will be preaching. Pegi has accepted a Call to the Ministry of Word and Service as Deacon for Music and Faith Formation at All Saints Lutheran Church.
Clergy of all traditions are invited to vest and wear a stole. The color of the day is red. A reception and supper follow the service at Coastal Retreat. An RSVP is required by July 26, 2026. Learn more →

New Picnic Tables needed at Camp Kinard
Camp Kinard Resident Director Nevin Rodgers is looking for a few Lutheran Men’s groups or talented carpenters to make and/or donate funds for new picnic tables. Each table made will be handicap accessible as Camp Kinard continues to be a place where all are welcome.
There are approximately 13 tables that need to be replaced in the RV Campground as well as an additional 15 tables throughout other areas of camp.
