Deacon Dallas J. Shealy

SCLRC Executive Director

Dallas has overseen this ministry since 2005. A proud alumna of Newberry College and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, she and her husband, Bobby, enjoy cooking and spending time in the glory of God’s creation!

Elliott Cox

Director of Marketing
& Coastal Retreat Director

Elliott joined the SCLRC staff in 2011. He moved to the Isle of Palms in 2020 to serve as Coastal Retreat’s resident director. He is joined by his wife, Ashlyn, their three children, and one very excitable dog.

Nevin Rodgers

Camp Kinard Director

Nevin grew up in the Batesburg-Leesville community and is a recent graduate of Clemson University. We’re excited to welcome him here at SCLRC!

Mary Katherine Goyne

Hospitality Coordinator & Registrar

A recent graduate of Clemson University, Mary Katherine is no stranger to outdoor ministry, having previously served on staff at Lutheridge (Arden, NC) and as Executive Director of Tracy’s Camp (Pinewood, SC).

Rev. Mary M. Finklea

Community & Congregation
Engagement Coordinator

Mary brings a wealth of knowledge to SCLRC’s ministry. Her primary responsibility is to serve as a connection between local congregations and the ministries of Camp Kinard & Coastal Retreat.

Pegi Roberts

Coordinator of Older Adult Ministries

SCLRC program participants know Pegi for her bright personality and enthusiasm for life-long learning.  Her primary focus is facilitating year-round programs hosted by Camp Kinard & Coastal Retreat.

Terry Shealy

Interim Bookkeeper

We’re excited to have Terry back again in the main office as a part of our team. He returns after previously serving for over a dozen years as business manager and Camp Kinard Director. We give thanks for the many skills he offers to this ministry!

Stephanie Burke

Regional Gift Planner – ELCA

As the ELCA Foundation’s Regional Gift Planner for the Carolinas, Stephanie meets with congregations and individuals to help grow their Culture of Generosity and to assist members in crafting a Legacy Plan that supports their loved ones AND tells their faith story far into the future.
